Egri Bikavér Superior 2013

Only dry red wines of protected origin may be marketed under the name Egri Bikavér. The world-famous wine of the wine-growing region is Bikavér, which is a blend of different red wines: the base wines must be aged in wooden barrels for at least one year and then in bottle for six months after blending. With Kékfrankos grape as backbone, the three Bordeaux varieties, Pinot Noir and Kadarka are used in this blend. Velvety tannins with intense violet and plum aromas, notes of cherry and spice on the nose. Unusually rich Bikavér style with serious structure and a long finish.
