Egri Pinot Noir Superior 2023
A garnet-colored wine with aromas that slowly unfold but offer a lot. Its bouquet is very elegant, with hints of cherry pie, hibiscus, a touch of mint, and barrel aging. The lively acidity and slight tannins characteristic of the variety lead the palate. It is characterized by medium body and length. The former aromas are complemented by white pepper spiciness, making the flavor even richer.

WINEMAKING
The cool and fruity character of Pinot Noir characterizes this wine very nicely. In 2023, we experimented with several barrels and achieved good results, but we felt that in this case, the different barrels complemented each other nicely in our Superior Pinot Noir. The wine comes entirely from our Pinot Noir vineyard in the Steiner vineyard, and we believe that this location on our estate produces much higher quality Pinot than any other location. After fermentation in tanks and malolactic fermentation, the wines were aged in 225- and 500-liter Hungarian and French barrels.
