Barrel spice, roasted notes, fruit and spices line up in the wine. The Peruvian dark chocolate — with the wonderfully complex tonka bean and the slightly tart freeze-dried elderberry — is at once sweetly spiced and delicately tart and fruity. Through the chocolate, the wine's plum and cherry flavours grow even more intense, while the wine amplifies the chocolate's roasted cocoa notes, and the tonka bean lends the wine a pleasant sweet-spiced, cinnamon-like line.
