Egri Bikavér Superior 2022
A medium-bodied brick red wine that rolls radiantly and smoothly down the sides of the glass. Its aroma is slow to open, carrying slightly rustic red wine aromas. It brings to mind leather, jam, dark chocolate, and paprika. The taste is accompanied by black fruits, currants, and blackberries. The tannins are ripe, the acids are distinct but well integrated. The alcohol is intense but not distracting. The finish is long, with wood barrel spices and a slight smoky jammy sensation. – Adél Bernáth-Ulcz

TECHNICAL SHEET
WINEMAKING
Five wine blends, the grapes needed for the base wines were harvested at full ripeness, each variety separately, at the appropriate time for that variety. After crushing and destemming, the grapes were fermented in steel tanks for approximately two weeks. The majority of the wines were aged in 500-liter Hungarian and French barrels, which were filled 1-4 times.
